Alda June’s practice revolves around fragmenting then reconstructing the world around her and creating her own visual jigsaw. The Franco-German artist describes her works as playful yet uncanny. Whilst studying architecture in Berlin she rediscovered her fascination for the practice of drawing. Unruly mark-making and gestural lines are both central aspects of June’s drawing language. Alda is currently exploring the possibilities of drawing through printmaking.
