Neda Koochakian is an Iranian artist who has lived and studied in Britain for the past decade. Her practice centres on drawing and sculpture and she describes her art as a journey – physical and intellectual – in which she works from the imagination but also from close observation. Her subject matter also draws on the attraction of contrasts – movement and stasis which she seeks to create connections to memory and place.
