Cristina Celestini

Cristina was born in Rome but has beenliving in Birmingham for over 30 years. She is mostly a self-taught artist, andher work is inspired by the nature of memory and human feelings. Cristina workswithin a figurative tradition with a love of detail, realism, and the renderingof light and shade. Cristina’s main medium is pencil and coloured pencils, as shetries to explore and experiment with line and the layering of colours toachieve unexpected effects. She is an Associate member of the Society ofGraphic and Fine Arts, and she regularly exhibits in London as well as in therest of England. This year Cristina has taken part to Sky Arts portrait Artistof the year. Cristina’s work is in in private and publiccollections in Britain and in Europe.
