“My practice is an on-going personal investigation into themeaning of art in an effort to understand what I do and why, and how it mayrelate to others.

Drawing for me is an emotional and physical experience. Ihave to be in a place where I can connect to whatever is around me. Beingoutside in the garden or countryside, looking intently, triggers my access tothe natural world, opening up memories, everyday experience and imagination. The work has figurative and abstract qualities using colour and pattern tocreate an image that is both real and imagined. I have no plans or perceivedoutcomes. The act of drawing takes over in a meditative experience, leaving meexhausted but physically and emotionally satisfied. I hope that the emotioninvested in the work resonates with others. Creating images to share is acrucial part of my practice. It feels solid, providing me with a purpose and apath to follow.”
