James Bradley

Born in Hampshire (1974)James has a passion for drawing and painting. He studied at Southampton Institute of Art and Design and Central Saint Martins. James divides his timebetween a narrow boat on the Grand Union canal and busy central London, thecontrast between rural and urban environments feeding into his practice.

James enjoys playing withmaterials and pictorial languages, collaging elements taken from differentpoints between the empirical, archetypal and symbolic; using forms fromobservations and experiences, and sensations from stories, memories andimagination. His practice is an open dialogue with creativity - open tosurprises spontaneity, mistakes and experimentation - adding to the developmentof the images.
